Team Terrortops
The Competition
We are a rookie team competing in BattleBots, the hit robot-fighting TV show! Teams design and build 250lb combat robots to fight on a TV show seen by millions.
The Bot
Starting with a detailed CAD model, we designed Terrortops to be intimidating and dangerous.
We used our in-house 3-axis CNC machine to mill the frame from 6061-Aluminum and finished the drilling and tapping operations by hand.
Terrortops uses a traditional brushed motor drive and lifter with a high-power brushless setup for the spinning weapon.
Team Origins
Each member of Team Terrortops has competed at a high level in the VEX and VEXU robotics competitions, and the majority of our team competed as Team USC.
Team USC went undefeated in our last pre-Worlds season, scoring all 5 of the world’s top 5 highest match scores. At our last World Championship, we earned the highest driver skills score in the competition. At the World Championship before that, we won the Excellence Award, which is given to the overall best team.
Now we are graduating, we’ve got our sights set on a much heavier trophy: The Giant Nut!
